Bedburg-Hau, Schloss Moyland
Castle Christmas Market
08 until 12 December 2021
Over 95 craftspeople from across Europe come to Moyland – many of them for the first time – to present their often highly unusual wares made from all kinds of natural materials. This is the place to browse a wide variety of handpicked, high-quality arts and crafts in a romantic setting. The selection includes ceramic and porcelain items, decorations, leather goods, hats, bags, woven work, felt objects, clothing, paper items, utensils and much more. Unusual gift ideas are also available from the Schloss Moyland museum shop and the Pure Form shop at the museum’s carpark. Here visitors will find a wide choice of Christmas books and greeting cards, fancy wrapping paper and creative books. There is a charge for admission on all days. A wonderful and wide-ranging music programme can be enjoyed at the events stage near the north tower. Kindergarten kids perform participation songs while choirs from the region sing advent and Christmas hymns. Musical societies play mellow festive tunes, Irish folk music performers entertain, and Nikolaus arrives to greet the children on most days.
Please note that interested parties should check the websites of the christmas-market to see whether dates and opening times have changed. There you will usually find information on behavioral requirements, access limits and hygiene measures as well.
