The Südpark in Düsseldorf has been a green oasis in the middle of the city since the Federal Garden Show in 1987. It is divided into the areas "Volksgarten", "In den Gärten" and "Vor dem Deich". Each area has its own charm.

The Rheinpark is a green leisure oasis in the middle of the city, offering relaxation and an impressive panorama of the skyline with the cathedral. Since the Federal Garden Show in 1957, for which the site was transformed from war ruins into an extensive park, the park with its magnificent gardens, water terraces and spacious meadows has established itself as a popular local recreation area. The Rhine cable car offers a unique view over the park and the city, while a small train runs through the grounds. The Tanzbrunnen, an event location, attracts visitors with open-air concerts and festivals, while the flower and tropical courtyard underlines the beauty of the park.

The Rheinaue civic, recreation and leisure park has become a landmark of the city of Bonn and a highly frequented local recreation area since it was established for the Federal Garden Show in 1979. The area is located in the geographical heart of Bonn and, at 160 hectares, is almost as large as the city center.

Nordsternpark Gelsenkirchen combines industrial culture, nature and leisure in a fascinating way. Where coal was once mined, there is now a green oasis with sights such as the amphitheater, the striking double arch bridge and the impressive Nordstern Tower. Whether it's a relaxed stroll along the Rhine-Herne Canal, a bike tour on the Route of Industrial Heritage or a visit to a festival - the park offers countless experiences. It will be further enhanced with the IGA 2027 and will remain a highlight for explorers in the Ruhr region.

The Sauerlandpark Hemer boasts extensive gardens, the Sky Mirror and the "Park of the Senses". The Jübergturm, the region's landmark, towers high above it all, offering spectacular views. Not far from the park, guests can discover the Felsenmeer and Heinrichshöhle caves as further highlights.

High above the Barmen district, Wuppertal's Nordpark offers breathtaking views of the city. The Skywalk provides spectacular panoramic photos. Flowering gardens, a wildlife enclosure and works of art make the local recreation area a unique destination.

The Huxarium Garden Park Höxter is a blooming paradise, an archaeological treasure trove and a recreational zone for travelers. It connects the historic town center of Höxter with its many half-timbered houses, pretty Weser Renaissance buildings and flower-lined town walls with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey.

The 2026 State Garden Show will take place on the former racecourse site in Neuss. Climate adaptation, sustainability and biodiversity are topics on site.

The International Garden Exhibition Ruhr Metropolis 2027 is an innovative garden and future project that combines garden art, urban development and industrial culture.

The 2029 State Garden Show in Kleve harmoniously combines modern urban planning and landscape identity. Areas in the historic town center and around the river Kermisdahl will be transformed for the exhibition.
