It's Christmas at Kolvenburg Castle when the Advent market, which is popular far beyond the borders of the district, starts in mid-November. For the 41st time, craftspeople from the region offer their self-made products and works of art. In the historical ambience, visitors can admire the craftsmanship and inventiveness of the exhibitors, browse to their heart's content and, of course, buy the goods. Lovingly designed Christmas cards, handmade candles, bascetta stars, Christmas floristry and culinary delights are just as much a part of the offer as stone, wood, concrete and textile work and much more. The handmade jams and marmalades are as popular as they are sought after. A range of hot drinks and small snacks invites you to round off your visit to the market in a cosy atmosphere.
