When it is cold and dark outside, the pre-Christmas stalls transform the squares in the city centre into little "Christmas villages". The streets and squares are bathed in a golden sea of lights as the Christmas market season moves into the city.
The Christmas market in Bonn gives the city a pre-Christmas glow. Christmas decorations, nativity scenes and handicrafts are on sale at a variety of pre-Christmas stalls in the city centre squares. On Advent Saturdays, the Christmas market is also acoustically transformed into a winter wonderland from Bonn Cathedral by the tower brass band.
