Jahrhunderthalle

Temple of high culture

A Jahrhunderhalle (=century hall) can only stand in one part of town: Stahlhausen. The hall is by no means as sprightly as its name, but rather elastic in the way it gives concerts and events aura. It is, of course, part of the industrial culture, as well as the venue of the Ruhrtriennale and thus a playground for spectacular new productions of operas (Die Soldaten, Das Rheingold) but also for trade fairs or rock, pop and classical concerts. It is thus a temple of high culture and at the same time a venue for great musical events of all genres. The 1LIVE crown has also already taken place here.
