Karl-Lehr-Tunnel/Loveparade Gedenkstätte

memorably tragic

The train entrance to Duisburg main station is a sad place for any music fan. This is where the regional express train passes over the hall ruins of the former freight and shunting station. Here, in 2010, 21 mainly young people died in a crush of people in a dark tunnel area that was an entrance to the Love Parade techno event. In the Karl-Lehr-Strasse, a touching memorial is dedicated to the relatives of those who died.
