Matrix Bochum

The MEGAstar among the Ruhrpott-discos

The Matrix Bochum in the town of Langendreer is located in the rooms of a brewery built in 1806. Away from the centre of the city, it offers the perfect space for wild parties. From rock to soft pop to mainstream, all the music is played that guests want to hear. The venue has been open for many years. Parties have been held here since 1978. It began under the name “Rockpalast”, and has been known as the “Matrix” since 2000. With five floors, the Matrix is one of the largest discos in the Ruhr region. It is also of architectural interest. Since March 2014, the former brewery has become a stop on the industrial culture route.
