I would say my harbour district is the place to go out during the day, in the evening or, in the middle of the night. Here, bars, cafés and restaurants tumble around the harbour basin, which have found their place in old warehouses and literally attract visitors with their inviting sun terraces. Do you feel it too? But before you settle down here, I would like to ask you to stroll along my harbour promenade. Soak up the special flair. This place used to be the goods transshipment point and today I call it "Kreativkai" – creative wharf -because the gastronomical variety, office buildings, art, culture and trendy clubs ensure that there is life in the booth around the clock. I can't put it any other way. I have one more question: Where would you normally assume a cheese factory is located? Probably somewhere in the countryside, right? Then watch out because the Hafenkäserei, an organic dairy showcase, is waiting for you, right here in my urban quarter. It's not just extremely tasty cheese that's produced here, but also knowledge. Step by step production is shown here and there are also guided tours. Always exciting! But you shouldn't just look at the cheese. You should also sample it! And don't worry, non-cheese fans will also be spoiled. Incidentally, you are now on the "B-side" of my harbour, which offers you a wonderful view of my Kreativkai. You can have a picnic at the water's edge.
