The zoo used to be located in the middle of my city centre. At the Prinzipalmarkt, I would hear the roar of lions and the trumpets of elephants. No joke. There have been no animals here for years now but the grounds of my old zoo are still worth a visit. Here, you can take a wonderful walk and even come across the big old owl house. And my enchanted Tuckesburg is enthroned on a small hill. This fairytale building is so well hidden that even some Münster residents have not yet discovered it. The zoo director, Hermann Landois used to live here with his monkey, Leemann.
