Dortmund’s U-Tower is a new type of cultural centre with art exhibitions, research, cultural education and creativity all under one roof. It is a symbol of the cultural revival and structural change in the Ruhr Area. The various cultural institutions and organisations based in the tower cooperate to deliver innovative programmes and events with an international reach, including exhibitions, film programmes, workshops, lectures, discussions, concerts, club evenings, and video and sound installations.
The tenants of the U-Tower are always ready to collaborate. They include Museum Ostwall, Hartware MedienKunstVerein, the Cultural Office of the City of Dortmund, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the Technical University of Dortmund, the european centre for creative economy (ecce), the Kino im U e.V. association, which operates the RWE Forum, and panUrama GmbH, which is responsible for the gastronomic venues in Dortmund’s U-Tower – the city’s Centre for Art and Creativity.
