Over 100,000 pumpkins in all shapes and colors are the eye-catchers there - and make a great photo motif. But the best thing is: the crops are not just there to look at, but also to eat. From pumpkin beer and creamy pumpkin soup to crispy pumpkin tarte flambée, there's plenty to try. How about a pumpkin sausage with homemade pumpkin ketchup and pumpkin ice cream for dessert? Other events such as ghost nights with torchlight walks and mystical witches' nights are also on the autumn program.
In the Gnadenhof petting zoo next door, children and adults can get very close to the animals. Over 200 animals, including alpacas, llamas, ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, donkeys and cattle have found a home there.
