From May 10 to September 20, 2026, the Museum Schloss Moyland will host a comprehensive solo exhibition dedicated to the versatile painter, actor, and musician Armin Mueller-Stahl. The exhibition explores his artistic personality and multifaceted body of work through selected thematic sections and groups of works. In the exhibition rooms, visitors can view paintings, drawings, lithographs, etchings, and screen prints by this jack-of-all-trades, some of which have political undertones and draw fascinating parallels to Mueller-Stahl’s international career as a film actor.
Armin Mueller-Stahl is one of the exceptional talents of the 21st century: His life and artistic work are strongly shaped by key stages of his personal biography in the GDR, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States, which is reflected in the emotional and political depth of his works. In addition to his worldwide recognition as a film actor (including an Oscar nomination for *Shine*) and theater professional, he began his career early on as a concert violinist and simultaneously developed his visual art practice, which is exhibited worldwide.
