Bad Westernkotten

Bad Westernkotten

Spa, (short) vacation or day trip: the brine and moor spa between Sauerland and Münsterland welcomes visitors with Westphalian charm and the local natural treasures of brine and moor.

Catch your breath at two graduation towers

In the well-kept spa park, two large, historic graduation towers invite you to breathe in the healthy salt air just like at the seaside. One of the works is the longest spa park graduation works in NRW: the brine trickles over blackthorn rice walls, enriching the air with salt crystals. Breathing in this salty air promotes well-being and alleviates respiratory problems.

All-round wellness experience

In the Hellweg-Sole-Thermen, guests can relax all day long, regardless of the weather. With over 700 m² of water and 33 degrees warm, three-percent Bad Westernkotten natural brine, the thermal baths not only make visitors happy, but also healthy. The relaxation area also offers an extensive sauna landscape with a wellness area that reflects the local nature. A modern therapy center is also connected to the thermal baths.

Moor up close

The life force of thousands of years is contained in the moor. A peat pack with original Bad Westernkotten natural peat really gets under your skin. The natural ingredients also have an effect on the body through the skin pores. Moor treatments promote blood circulation and moisturize the skin.

Idyllic, tranquil and endearing

The spa promenade connects the health and wellness facilities with the town center. The "Muckenbruch" fenland area and the historic Schäferkämper watermill are also within easy walking distance. You can also discover the everyday people by Witten artist Christel Lechner scattered here and there in the town and evidence of Bad Westernkotten's long salt history. Visitors encounter Westphalian hospitality in cozy pubs and can browse and store in small stores.
