Dülmen

Welcome to the Hohe Mark - Westmünsterland Nature Park. One of the largest nature parks in North Rhine-Westphalia is located where the Münsterland, Rhineland and Ruhr regions meet. With an area of 1040 square kilometers, the Hohe Mark - Westmünsterland Nature Park offers recreation seekers from near and far an attractive nature experience and many opportunities for leisure activities. The landscape in the nature park is very diverse and uniquely attractive. A total of four natural landscapes (ParkLandschaft, WasserLandschaft, WaldLandschaft and FolgeLandschaft) are waiting to be discovered.

The town of Dülmen lies on the north-eastern edge of the Hoher Mark - Westmünsterland Nature Park, nestled in a picturesque park landscape.

The only remaining wild horse track on the European continent, the wildlife park and other natural gems invite you to go on discovery tours - on foot or by bike. Dülmen is part of the Münsterland cycle path network and offers many opportunities for day and multi-day tours. Cycling enthusiasts can get to know the region's animals and plants at various adventure stations on the nature route - playfully, exploratively and with different senses. Those interested can follow in the footsteps of the beatified Anna Katharina Emmerick on a pilgrim cycle path and enjoy a break from everyday life. The market square and pedestrian zone with individual stores, cafés and restaurants invite you to take a stroll.
