Der Gänsepeter

Rommerskirchen-Ramrath

The "Gänsepeter" poultry farm is located in Rommerskirchen-Ramrath, right next to the historic Lambertus Chapel. The family business has been producing high-quality poultry products for over 25 years. In order to guarantee quality, the animals are fed a balanced diet of GMO-free maize, grass and grain grown on the farm and are given plenty of space to roam. On-farm slaughter saves the animals the stress of transportation and ensures quality control throughout the entire production chain.

Farm shop

The Gänsepeter farm store is open on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to the Gillbach goose, the Gillbach rooster and the Gillbach duck, various poultry specialties from the Gillbach goose are also on offer.

The processed products from the Gillbach goose include smoked goose breast, goose lard, goose rillettes, goose broth, goose sauce, goose liver sausage and goose aspic. And in the season from November to June, there is also a typical Rhineland specialty: the goose egg.

Bedding

The goose feathers and down obtained as a by-product are processed into high-quality comforters and pillows on the farm. In order to adapt them to personal sleeping requirements, they can be made individually on request.
