The international Formula 1® exhibition will be making a guest appearance in Oberhausen from October: after stops in Madrid, Vienna, London and Buenos Aires, the show is making its first stop in the Ruhr region. It promises a multimedia experience in the Babcock Halls, which were converted into the new Oberhausen Expo (OBEX) venue at the beginning of 2025 at a cost of around three million euros. On almost 3,000 square meters, guests can now expect seven elaborately designed themed rooms, which were created in collaboration with artists, curators and filmmakers.
The show features original racing cars, equipment and previously unpublished photo and video material from the most legendary Formula 1 teams and drivers. It provides insights into the technical development and presents unforgettable moments and related relics. The international exhibition area is complemented by an area dedicated to German Formula 1 history, which highlights the great successes and contributions of German winners.
