Bruchhauser Steine

Olsberg

Imagine standing in front of imposing rock formations that have watched over the landscape for thousands of years. The Bruchhauser Steine in the Sauerland are just that: a breathtaking natural wonder that will leave you in awe. These bizarre rocks, up to 92 meters high, rise majestically out of the forest and tell the fascinating story of a bygone era.

Did you know that the Bruchhauser Steine are the first National Natural Monument in North Rhine-Westphalia? This makes them not only an impressive natural experience, but also a specially protected site of outstanding importance.

During a visit, you can explore the four main rocks - Bornstein, Ravenstein, Goldstein and Feldstein - on well-signposted hiking trails. Each rock has its own magic and offers spectacular views of the surrounding nature. The unique flora and fauna around the Bruchhauser Steine is also particularly exciting. Here you will come across rare plants and animals that can only be found in this special place.
