Rinteln

Porta Westfalica

Porta Westfalica offers imperial views for every taste. For decades, hikers, cyclists and culture enthusiasts have recognized the beauty of the landscape at the "Westphalian Gate". The Weser through valley

between the Weser and Wiehengebirge mountains with the Kaiser Wilhelm monument is the town's landmark and namesake. In the Kleinenbremen visitor mine and on the mill route with its 43 mills, you can follow the paths of history.

For "water rats" there is a bathing center and the "Großer Weserbogen" bathing lake and campsite. A well-developed network of trails offers an incomparable variety of stage and circular tours. The river, the mountains, the monument - a fascinating cultural landscape awaits the visitor!

The Western Weserbergland Tourist Center offers the following services:

Travel advice and accommodation services (for the six towns of Rinteln, Hessisch Oldendorf, Porta Westfalica, Emmerthal, Aerzen, Auetal), 24-hour information terminals, free WLAN and APPs for on the go, e-bike rental and charging stations, extensive network of cycling and hiking trails.
