27th Werdringer Christmas Market

The Werdringen Castle Association's Christmas market traditionally opens on the third weekend of Advent, 14 and 15 December 2024, on Saturdays from 14:00 to 19:30 and Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00 against the romantic backdrop of the idyllically situated moated Werdringen Castle in Hagen-Vorhalle.

A wide range of wooden and handcrafted products await visitors at over 30 stalls in the castle courtyard and in the castle itself, which differs significantly from the usual range on offer at Christmas markets. Due to the variety of products on offer and the special atmosphere, this Christmas market also regularly attracts numerous visitors from neighbouring towns. At the latest when the sound of Christmas carols can be heard in the castle courtyard, it is impossible to escape the special atmosphere.

Of course, visitors can also fortify themselves with warming drinks and sweet and savoury food. The members of the Wolfskuhle knighthood will greet guests in their medieval garb to match the surroundings and transport them back in time. Visitors can cosy up by the campfire or warm up with the famous apple punch or mead - which has been known as a warming drink since the Middle Ages - to defy the cold.

The moated castle can be reached via the A1 motorway, exit Hagen-West. As there is limited parking available at the moated castle, the use of public transport is recommended.
