The Hermann Monument is celebrating its 150th anniversary. To mark this anniversary, the Lippisches Landesmuseum Detmold is presenting the multimedia exhibition "Denk:mal! 150 years of the Hermann Monument". The show presents the famous colossal statue in the Teutoburg Forest as a multi-layered symbol of German identity, regional history and critical remembrance culture.

Using holograms and virtual reality, important events associated with the landmark are brought to life interactively and emotionally. The show addresses topics such as national pride, monument preservation and historical responsibility during the presentation. Interactive stations also encourage reflection on the significance of monuments in today's world.
