The Medebacher Bergweg, a 66-kilometre circular hiking trail, leads through the sun-drenched Medebach Bay, also known as the "Tuscany of the Sauerland". The route connects the town of Medebach with its nine picturesque districts, reveals the old, historic traces of the Glindfeld monastery and offers an impressive variety of landscapes. Narrow paths wind their way through dense forests, climb mountain heights and follow streams in the valley. Particularly noteworthy are the numerous panoramic views from elevations such as the Lückenkopf and the Rösberg, which offer sweeping views across the region. The stage from the idyllic Orketal valley up to the almost 800-metre-high Rösberg is one of the most challenging and at the same time most scenic sections. Once you reach the top, a fantastic view of the Winterberg plateau rewards you for the strenuous climb.
