MESSE ESSEN attracts around 1.4 million visitors to 50 trade fairs and over 800 congresses, conferences, and corporate events in the trade fair and congress city every year.
Located at the heart of the Ruhr metropolis, the Congress Center Essen benefits from excellent national and international infrastructure connections. Its direct subway connection and a generous number of parking spaces at all three Congress Centers guarantee quick arrivals. The Congress Center Essen offers a wide variety of rooms for events with 20 to 10,000 guests. Whether you are hosting a conference, seminar, annual general meeting, product presentations, company kick-offs, or road shows: three congress centres with a maximum capacity of up to 1,062 people are supplemented by 110,000 m² of event space in the exhibition halls to live up to any guest’s ideas.
The Grugahalle is a multifunctional event hall that serves as the stage for concerts, shows, and athletic events as well as a location for federal party conventions or church congresses. The ATLANTIC Congress Hotel 4*** superior right next door offers 248 rooms and suites as well as additional conference facilities.
The 2,000-m² glazed foyer in the Congress Center East has been available since November 2017. It stands out with its open, functional architecture and direct connection to the event rooms of the Congress Center East and to the 8 ground-level exhibition halls. Meeting rooms with the latest presentation technology and a separate reception area have been created anew.
The Congress Center South offers space for conferences and meetings with up to 600 people in two halls and 8 conference rooms as well as a spacious foyer. It is directly connected to exhibition hall 1A with another 6,000 m² of space.
Festive gala events and banquets are held in the Congress Center West. The permanently mounted stage in the hall, artists’ dressing rooms with direct stage access as well as spacious control rooms and a separate delivery access keep logistics and technical handling around your event running smoothly. The adjacent Hall 3 is unique with 17,000 m² of column-free space, bright daylight from glazed conservatories, and ceiling heights of up to 15 meters.
