The Es­sen trade fair cen­ter is one of the most tech­nic­ally mod­ern trade fair sites in Ger­many and im­presses with its clear, open ar­chi­tec­ture. With around 55 trade fairs and ex­hib­i­tions, in­clud­ing ten lead­ing trade fairs, Es­sen is one of the top ten trade fair loc­a­tions in Ger­many. Dir­ec­tly con­nec­ted to the fair, the Con­gress Cen­ter Es­sen ex­pands the event port­fo­lio with sym­po­sia, con­fer­en­ces and di­verse cor­por­ate events.

From seminars with a small group of participants to large galas: The Congress Center Essen offers a wide range of space for events of any size. In addition to the three congress areas with a maximum capacity of over 1,000 people, 110,000 sqm of event space in the exhibition halls and the directly adjacent Grugahalle as a flexible event hall await the ideas of the organizers.

The large glass foyer covers 2,000 square meters and impresses with its striking canopy and modern, transparent architecture. The open, multifunctional event space is the centerpiece of the modernization, which will be completed in 2019, and is directly adjacent to the Congress Center Ost. 

With seven attractive rooms and high-quality multimedia equipment, the Congress Center Ost offers flexible space for general meetings, conferences, congresses, workshops or company celebrations. Two spacious foyers complement the rooms with open areas for accompanying exhibitions or congress catering. There is also direct access to Exhibition Hall 8, which, with 3,700 m² and a ceiling height of 11 meters, provides sufficient space for creative event ideas.

The Congress Center South offers space for conferences and meetings with up to 600 people in two halls and eight conference rooms as well as a spacious foyer. There is a direct link to Exhibition Hall 1A with a further 6,000 square meters of space.

The Congress Center West scores with its six large halls and an openly designed foyer in the direct vicinity of Exhibition Hall 3 - the right setting for congress events that are held in parallel with an exhibition or trade fair. The largest congress room here is the Hall Europe with a gross area of 946 m². The permanently installed stage in the hall, artists' dressing rooms with direct stage access as well as spacious control rooms and a separate delivery enable smooth logistics and technical handling.
