The Duisburg Christmas market is an annual highlight that transforms the city center into an atmospheric, glittering sea of lights. With over a hundred lovingly decorated wooden huts, festively decorated fir trees and impressive light installations, the pre-Christmas season is heralded in. The scent of cinnamon and aniseed, paired with the smell of potato pancakes and speculoos, fills the air and contributes to the festive atmosphere.
