It is Germany's biggest tennis tournament on grass: Every year in June, top international stars from the tennis scene take to the court at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, Westphalia. In recent years, stars such as multiple ATP World Champion Alexander Zverev, 2021 US Open Champion Daniil Medvedev and Canada's super talent Felix Auger-Aliassime, who reached 6th place in the world rankings in 2022, have taken part.

The ATP grass court event in the OWL Arena is one of the most popular tennis tournaments in Germany with over 110,000 visitors every year, and the matches are broadcast in over 150 countries worldwide.

In addition to top sport, the program also includes good entertainment off the court: the term "Tennistainment" refers to a supporting program with music, dining and shopping opportunities. Music stars such as Sarah Connor, Revolverheld and Sportfreunde Stiller have performed at the Terra Wortmann Open.
