The winter hike around the Kahler Asten on the Sauerland-Höhenflug offers carefree hiking fun on cleared paths. The Kahler Asten, probably the most famous mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia, is the centerpiece of this tour. The hike offers magnificent views and interesting insights into the very special world around the Astenturm. The trail runs parallel to the Hochheide nature trail, which has 25 stations providing interesting facts about nature conservation, weather and history. This tour is not only an outdoor activity, but also family-friendly. There are refreshment stops along the way, making the hike a pleasant experience. Designed as a circular route, this tour is ideal for the winter months of January, February, March, November and December.
