Rushing streams, singing birds and forests as far as the eye can see - the Siegen-Wittgenstein region is home to almost untouched forests, enchanted valleys and enchanting little villages.
Travellers can find peace and quiet here, for example on the Rothaarsteig. The "Path of the Senses" is one of the most beautiful high-altitude trails in Europe and leads through the region's unique natural landscape. Special themed routes provide further impressions, such as the Freudenberg half-timbered trail, which leads to the town's half-timbered centre, the "Alter Flecken". The half-timbered beauties in black and white are unique eye-catchers in the region and are a very popular photo spot.
In addition to the historic centre of Freudenberg, there are many other idyllic places with interesting town centres, castles and fortresses.
