Bistro PIER 5, Vynen Harbor

Xanten

Water sports enthusiasts and day-trippers looking for a seaside atmosphere will find just what they’re looking for at Xanten’s Nordsee and Südsee. These two interconnected inland bodies of water offer a wide variety of recreational activities on and around the water. The starting point for all activities—such as sailing, diving, fishing, surfing, water skiing, hiking, or biking—is Vynen Harbor. This is also where you’ll find Pier5, a restaurant that offers a magnificent view of the lake from its lakeside terrace and through its floor-to-ceiling glass facade.

Pier 5’s architecture is modeled after a ship’s hull and exudes maritime charm. All areas of the restaurant, located on the ground floor, are accessible without steps. Regular special offers and events provide plenty of variety. In addition, the entire venue can be rented for private parties, events, and conferences.
