Dortmund Concert Hall

Dortmund

The world's best artists meet an enthusiastic audience at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and present extraordinary programs in outstanding acoustics. This unique blend makes the Konzerthaus Dortmund one of the most visionary concert halls (Esa-Pekka Salonen). The claim of democratizing classical music, i.e. music for everyone, is the guiding principle of our programme. Symphony concerts, concertante opera, festivals, chamber music through to cabaret & chanson, world music, jazz and pop characterize the "Dortmund dramaturgy".

The Konzerthaus Dortmund has level access. The foyer, stalls and first and second balconies can be reached via elevators. A disabled toilet for Euro WC keys is available. There are 16 wheelchair spaces in the concert hall. We ask wheelchair users to order their tickets as early as possible so that these seats are not allocated elsewhere. We also ask blind or severely visually impaired visitors with guide dogs to contact us in good time. For users of hearing aids, there is an induction loop in most seats at the Konzerthaus Dortmund.

Severely disabled persons receive free admission for the accompanying person if they need to be accompanied. In special cases and for external events, different regulations may apply. We would like to make attending concerts as pleasant as possible for guests with disabilities. If your visit involves special requirements, please call us in advance on 0231 - 22 696 200 and our free escort service will be happy to help. Disabled parking spaces are available in the Bissenkamp parking garage (Gerberstraße 8) and in the Konzerthaus parking garage at Burgwall (Burgwall 8).
