Living culture and promoting cultural exchange: The Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany serves an official function. The facility shows up to four exhibitions simultaneously. The establishment also offers high-quality events, media conferences and concerts.

"A place of the arts and communication, international and cosmopolitan." -  As a house for temporary exhibitions, the Bundeskunsthalle offers a varied programme of international importance. Art and cultural history, archaeology, science, ecology and technology are the themes. Since its opening in 1992, well over 200 exhibitions have been shown; over 18 million guests from all over the world have visited the Bundeskunsthalle during this period.

The Kunstmuseum Bonn is one of the largest museums of contemporary art in Germany. Its new building, designed by the Berlin architect Axel Schultes and opened in 1992, is one of the most important museum buildings in Germany in recent decades.
