Johannes Böckenhoff

Kornbrennerei Johannes Böckenhoff

Raesfeld-Erle

The small grain distillery in Münsterland is proud to distil its brandies to the highest quality standards in its own copper still. Produced in the sixth generation according to traditional recipes, the grain and liqueurs have made Kornbrennerei Böckenhoff famous far beyond the region. A select range of high-quality brandies and liqueur specialties can be purchased in the cozy distillery shop. During a tour of the distillery, guests can experience how the raw distillate is first produced from the grain, which is the apple of discord, and how the high-proof grain is produced during the second firing. The grain and liqueur specialties can then be tasted.

Tradition and modernity

Travelers staying longer in Raesfeld, for example to take part in a distillery tour, explore the Hohe Mark Nature Park or visit Raesfeld Castle, should definitely stay overnight at the "Erler Koornhuus 1832". The hostel run by Alexandra and Dirk Böckenhoff is housed in the oldest building in the center of the village of Erl and is directly connected to the Böckenhoff grain distillery. It impresses with a combination of tradition and modernity, the stylistic elements of the historic house and new furnishings.
