The medieval moated castle of Satzvey forms the backdrop for this autumn festival, which celebrates horsemanship and rarities. Horses take center stage on this day in a historical atmosphere, but "non-riders" also get their money's worth. While horse training and stunt demonstrations are shown in the riding arena, market stalls in the castle courtyard invite visitors to browse and discover. There are some rarities to discover among the regional goods and handicrafts, such as jewelry made from horseshoe nails or horsehair. Culinary delicacies such as ham, salami and cheese specialties are also on offer. Live music and a children's program provide variety and entertainment for young and old.
