Langen Foundation

Neuss

The Langen Foundation, which opened in 2004, is located on the former NATO base near Neuss and was built according to plans by Tadao Ando. It is the Japanese architect's second building in Germany and his fourth in Europe. The elegant museum building made of steel, glass and concrete can be seen through a concrete arch along an artificial pond. Inside, the interplay of light and shadow is fascinating.

As an art and exhibition venue, the Langen Foundation presents a varied and changing exhibition program with works by renowned artists. In addition to solo and group exhibitions, there are also regular presentations from the extensive Viktor and Marianne Langen Collection, which houses works of classical modernism and traditional Japanese art.

As a non-profit foundation, the Langen Foundation is a forum for art and a place of inspiration and contemplation for the public.
