The foundations of this unique success story of the brewery, which has been run by the Veltins family for five generations, are investment power, entrepreneurial vision and a corporate culture that is characterized by team spirit and the highest quality standards in equal measure. To this day, the premium beer is brewed exclusively from the highest quality ingredients - malt, hops, yeast and the purest spring water - strictly in accordance with the Purity Law of 1516. The water, which springs from the mountains around Grevenstein, is exceptionally soft. This is one of the main reasons why Veltins has been brewing beer exclusively in the Pilsen style since 1926: Veltins Premium Pilsener. However, the success story began much earlier. In 1852, founding father Clemens Veltins took over a small country brewery in Grevenstein in the Upper Sauerland, where he brewed 150 hectoliters of beer a year, supplying not only the brewery's own guests but also many local taverns. Since 1994, Susanne Veltins has been continuing the successful history of the brewery in the fifth generation. The brewery regularly offers free guided tours for curious visitors.
