The interactive exhibition at the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum takes visitors on a popular-science journey through time that began more than 3.5 billion years ago.
Spread across more than 25 themed rooms are natural-looking aquariums and terrariums where you can observe live animals, as well as fascinating specimens and many hands-on interactive stations. Presented in an exciting and playful way, the exhibition teaches you more about which animals live on our planet today—both on land and in water—and what their habitats look like. Biology class can actually be fun.
But the Aquazoo Löbbecke also raises serious questions. For example, the “Ocean and Humans” exhibition addresses, among other things, the negative consequences of human activity on the world’s oceans. After all, overfishing, littering, and the uncontrolled emission of greenhouse gases—among other things—threaten the “blue element” from which everything once sprang.
