The Alsdorfer Weiher animal park is a varied excursion destination for the whole family. Around twenty, mainly native animal species live on the grounds. There are also play areas for resting and running around, a boat hire service for a short rowing trip on the pond, sunbathing lawns for a leisurely picnic or the restaurant, café and beer garden in the Broichtal building.

The Alsdorfer Weiher animal park is located in the middle of the Broichbachtal recreational area, which offers a variety of hiking options for further active excursions.
