Café Vielfalt

All test relevant areas meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility tested - barrier-free for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. Detailed information can be found in the test report at the end of the text.

• There are two public parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 250 cm x 600 cm, distance to the entrance 500 m).
• Access to the café is possible without thresholds or steps.
• All evaluated rooms that can be used by the guest can be accessed steplessly or by elevator.
• The elevator cab measures 102 cm x 140 cm (width x depth).
• All passageways/doors are at least 90 cm wide.
• In the chimney room (1st floor) there are wheelchair accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm), but not in the dining room on the ground floor.
• The sales counter is 91 cm high at the lowest point. There is an alternative way of communication while sitting.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (2nd floor)

• In the toilet the maneuvering spaces are (width x depth):
  in front of the door 201 cm x 149 cm; in front of the toilet and washbasin at least 119 cm x 147 cm;
  left of the toilet 58 cm x 70 cm, right 96 cm x 70 cm.
• There are handles which can be folded up on both sides of the toilet.
• The washbasin has limited wheelchair access and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• An alarm trigger is present (cord).

• In the event of an audible alarm, no visually perceptible flashing light or flashing signal appears.
• There are tables in the café with bright and glare-free lighting and no lamps standing or hanging on them that restrict the field of vision.
• There are seating areas with low background noises.

• Assistance dogs are allowed.
• The entrance is not visually high in contrast.
• Rooms and corridors are brightly lit and glare-free. 
• There are glass doors without safety markings. 
• An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. 
• Steps are not designed with visual or tactile high-contrast edges. Handrails are present.
• The menu font is simple and visually rich in contrast. The menu is available on a barrier-free website.
• There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.

• Name and logo of the café are not clearly visible from the outside.
• The destination of the path is within sight or there are path signs at a visible distance.
• There is no information in easy language.

• There is no menu with pictures and the dishes are not presented visibly.
