DEPOT Cultural Center

All areas relevant to the inspection meet the quality criteria for the“Accessibility Tested” designation—“accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users.”

• There is a designated parking space for people with disabilities (space dimensions: 350 cm x 550 cm).
• The path from the parking space to the entrance is 10 m long. Parts of it are not easily accessible on foot or by wheelchair.
• The depot is accessible without steps.
• All rooms and facilities available to guests are accessible without steps or via ramps.
• The ramps in the central area of the “Multifunctional Hall” event space have a maximum slope of up to 9% and a total length of 130 m.
• All doors and passageways accessible to guests are at least 90 cm wide.
• The ticket counters are at least 110 cm high; the movie theater ticket counter has a lowered counter that is 78 cm high.
• There are 20 designated seats for wheelchair users in the movie theater.
• The restaurant (Depothek) features wheelchair-accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, with a clearance height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Public restroom for people with disabilities

• The maneuvering spaces are as follows:
  in front of and behind the door, at least 125 cm x 140 cm;
  in front of the toilet, 220 cm x 140 cm;
  in front of the sink: 220 cm x 150 cm;
  to the left and right of the toilet: at least 90 cm x 59 cm.
• There are grab bars to the left and right of the toilet. The grab bars can be folded up.
• The sink is wheelchair-accessible.
• The mirror is visible whether standing or sitting.
• An emergency alarm button is provided.

• There is no visually noticeable alarm.
• There is no induction loop system.
• In the restaurant (Depothek), tables are equipped with bright, glare-free lighting; there are no lamps standing or hanging above them that obstruct the field of vision or eye contact.
• The movie theater is equipped with a Cineconnect system and an audio description system.

• Service dogs are permitted in all relevant areas and rooms.
• The entrance lacks sufficient visual contrast.
• All elevated areas accessible to guests are well lit—that is, brightly and without glare.
• The signage is designed with easily readable, high-contrast typeface.
• The font on the restaurant menu is simple and high-contrast.
• Information is not available in Braille or prism script.

• The destinations of the paths are within sight, or path markers are placed at a distance that ensures they are always visible.
