The NRW-Forum Düsseldorf is part of the listed Ehrenhof ensemble from the 1920s, which also includes the Kunstpalast and the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
The exhibition and event venue is dedicated to current topics from the fields of photography, design, pop and digital culture and has transformed itself into a place for young art and innovative formats such as the AR Biennale. With an interdisciplinary program that includes group and solo exhibitions, festivals and workshops, the NRW-Forum offers a space for dealing with current social issues. The NRW-Forum recently presented exhibitions on the various positions of contemporary art and pop culture, such as Sneaker, Wonderwalls. Art & Toys, Alison Jackson and Welcome to Paradise.
In 2020, the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf merged with the Museum Kunstpalast Foundation under the direction of Felix Krämer. Alain Bieber has been the artistic director of the NRW-Forum since April 1, 2015. Since then, the NRW-Forum has hosted 80 exhibitions and over 200 events, symposia and festivals
