The Bergisches Land Panorama Route makes the region accessible to cars, motorcycles, and RVs. Stretching approximately 290 kilometers, it winds through the hilly Bergisches Land on scenic roads, offering a particularly vivid experience of the alternating forests, ridges, valleys, reservoirs, and small villages. The name says it all: time and again, sweeping views of the Bergisch landscape open up, while winding stretches, quiet side roads, and historic town centers provide plenty of variety. Typical of the route are Bergisch half-timbered villages with slate facades, green shutters, and compact town centers, which are ideal for breaks, short walks, or a stop for refreshments. Dams, viewpoints, and nature experiences can also be incorporated along the way. Sights such as Altenberg Cathedral, Schloss Burg, the Bever and Agger dams, the Eckenhage Monkey and Bird Park, the Panarbora Tree Top Walk, and the LVR Open-Air Museum in Lindlar are located along the route.
