The Catholic Church of St. Andrew is located in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Old Town. It is well worth visiting this most important example of early Baroque architecture in the region. Beyond its architecture and magnificent stucco work, the former court church offers insights into the history of the city of Düsseldorf and the Christian faith. Since 1972, St. Andreas has also served as the monastery church of the Dominicans, who are known for their modern, people-centered pastoral care. Every Sunday, for example, they host a concert at 4:00 p.m. (free admission). Most of their other events are also free of charge.
